Today (March 11, 2021) storm Lola rages over Belgium. Also at our coast the storm keeps up immense wind speeds.
Did you know that the red and white wind bags at airports and heliports are actually made that way to indicate wind speed? Each "dash" represents 5 knots of wind. (5 knots is approximately 9.26 km / h).
Now they measure 104 km / h wind in Ostend, it is not surprising that our windsock is stretched today. Unfortunately no flying weather!
